This weeks new singles review 20/7/2014

Hello everyone and I hope you all had a good week whether you have been working, or chilling out on Holiday, last week was very good Will.I am went straight to number one like i predicted and the Vamps went to number 4, so I was close to it becoming the number one for the week , good effort lads, also Jess Glynne entered the charts with her brilliant Right Here track.

My first song this week is Rixton - Me and my broken Heart

This new band has spent ages in the states perfecting its new sound, until there new boss Scooter Braun was satisfied they were ready, they are supposed to be four lads who write there own songs, we will see,,,the lead singer Jake has a very distinctive radio sounding voice, some of you may already have seen them perform on Capitals Summertime Ball, the song is an upbeat summer smash that i predict will get to the top or very close, for me it sounds alot like Maroon 5, SO I QUIET LIKE IT,,these lads i expect to have a big career ahead of them , so well done with the first single ..............................................4 stars ****

The second song is Magic - Rude

If there is any indication of how this song is gonna do in the charts all you have to do is look at what has happened to it in the US, Australia and New Zealand, its been a big smash, as i expect it to be over here.
This new Reggae sounding track is a breath of fresh air for the charts, it has a clean guitar upstroke, with a little Carribean inflection and Indie Rock panache, these are one of the most exciting new bands on the scene, i expect this to be sung at many festivals around this summer.................4 stars ****

My 3rd single today is Cheryl Cole Ft Tinnie Tempah - Crazy Stupid Love

Cheryls new comeback song, for me is average.
Cheryl is not a solo singer her voice does not carry a song, this is the same, but I am sure her die hard fans will buy it, but the problem is this will go in and out the charts quickly, as there is no spine in any of her songs, its all about how pretty she looks in her videos, but with no substance and depth to her them. The Lalalala bit is very annoying within the chorus and does get inside your brain a little which is very annoying, so maybe Miss Cole, it might reach number one, but defo not my scene......2 stars **

the 4th single today is Charli XCX - Boom Clap

This new Singer- Songwriter is making a big splash with her thunderous love song debut, Boom Clap.
Her song contribution to the film, The Fault in our Stars has her currently sitting in the top ten of the downloads chart.
Charli came to our notice when she wrote the number one smash hit I love It - Icona Pop, and also Iggy Azaleas track Fancy, all eyes are on her to see if this will make it to the uk top 10, the song sits on a wave of synthesizers as she sings about an out of this world romance, she is very tender on the verses , but clobbers out the chorus....................................................................................................3 stars ***

My final song is Kieza - Giant in my Heart

This infectious new track from Kieza, the track builds on the divas vocals and lose-yourself beat that made her other track Hideaway a massive hit, the video follows around a New Yorker who is a disgruntled 9-5 worker who is annoyed at the boredom of there work in an office job, but we then find they live a very exciting nightlife, its the usual 90s vibe from this talented singer.Lets see how high in the charts it goes, whatever its a fine piece of dance music.................................................................3 stars ***
