This weeks new review 13/7/2014

Hello everyone hope you have all had a good weekend so far, last week was another winner for me with Sia entering the charts and Ariana Granda - Problem going straight in to number one,,,pat on the back again,,me thinks,,,lol .........................................

This weeks first song is The Vamps feat Demi Lovato  - Somebody To You

This entered the charts at number 39 last week and for me this week it will be pushing for number one, this youthful love song, is very catchy and the UK based foursome with the soulful voice of Demi seem to have CRACKED IT with this, For all you Vampetes out there, it comes from there album , meet the Vamps. The lads who first got picked up as they used to post there videos and songs on Youtube, now have a large following, they are also very animal orientated, as the lads have lots of pets from Lizards to Hamsters...........................................................................................................................3 stars ***

The next song is Jess Glynne - Right Here

At the start of the year I would have picked this Artist to be one to watch out for, in 2014, after her Debut on the amazing Clean Bandit and Route 94 records , she has now released her new track called Right Here, its a very summer sounding song with an infectious vocal and bassline,  love this track, my sort of tune, its is produced by the classy Gorgon City outfit., definate top 5 track.....................................4 stars ****

The 3rd song I an reviewing is Nicole Scherzinger - Your Love

This once, very sexy Pussycat Doll is now embarked on a Solo career that has yet to take of, for me she should have stayed with her girlfriends, but hey ive listened to the new song and although it may get into the top 10 it will not me very memorable, as she seems to sing the verses in a low raspy sounding voice that is hard to pull of, it jumps around around with no structure in the song at all and with some very weird tempo changes, she seems to have shortened the word baby to bby which is repeated over and over again to my annoyance...............................................................................................................1 star *

My next review is La Roux - Uptight Downtown

Its been awhile since we have heard from La Roux as the singer Elly Jackson has had illness and lost her voice,, anyway the five years have passed and now they are back with this multi tracked vocal with a great beat, the vocal is layered beautifully, the atmosphere from the song sounds fuller and the arrangement in its entirity is sizzling , great track and welcome back.......................................................3 stars ***

My final review is G.R.L - Ugly Heart

This girl band is poised to become the next big thing from across the pond, they are all cheerleaders, and are trying to emulate the Pussycat Dolls success, Ugly Heart starts of with a Ukelele introduction before bursting into a more poppy/cliche tune, the verses are toned down which is a breath of fresh air but yet still remains catchy, The lyrics tell of a girl who is over her ex boyfriend who is pretty but has an ugly heart, this is there second single after there collaboration with Pitbull, Not my cup of tea, and we will see as to whether they will become a huge hit ,, i feel they need better written songs than this but we will reserve judgement for now for the audience out there..........................................................................................2 stars **
